The last server update of 2025!

2025 comes to an end, and I’m kinda disappointed it ended so fast (but even more with the current turn of events, regarding computer hardware). Anyway, it was such a good year as a whole, as the community discovered quite a lot of things, a few games’ masterservers got restored, and even if we did a little less events compared to 2024, they were quite creative as a whole. Shoutouts to our friend DeZolance for many of the ideas !

Alright, enough of the chit-chat, here it is, the last server updates of 2025!

Server updates

Half-Life

  • Updated the plugins.
  • Team Deathmatch teams are now “Robo vs Hgrunt”.

Half-Life: Adrenaline Gamer

  • Updated the plugins.
  • Minor internal updates regarding the maplist.

  • Updated the following maps (PLEASE DELETE YOUR LOCAL VERSION IF IT MISMATCHES):
    • op4ctf_2bases
    • op4ctf_slingshot
  • The server now adjusts the CTF maplists according to the current number of players.

Deathmatch Classic

  • Server does not show the language menu text anymore the moment you connect to the server.

Counter-Strike 1.6

  • Updated the plugins.
  • Partial maplist adjustments to the AIM/AWP/FY_ server.

Counter-Strike: Source (v34)

  • Fixed the Automix plugin breaking scores during mid-games.

Quake 3 Arena

  • Added 2 OSP servers in the Duel category - will require further testings !
    • Servers are currently set to 100FPS - a WiQi page is being written for recommended client CVARs.
    • Maplist is also in progress, but should contain all popular maps from Q3A/Quake Live.
    • sv_pure is disabled in order to allow custom HUDs from the OSP2 project.
  • The Rocket Arena 3 server will be removed in a future date due to x86/x64 incompatibilities.

Last thing, as a fun little trivia : In 2 days, one server I rented for 13 years will finally be free of our service. o7

Anyway, we hope 2026 will be a year of good resolutions, while also hoping to not be limited to only 1024x768… Overused, you say? Dang.

Lastly, let me hint at two things :

  • One of our first events that we will do in early 2026 : It’s regarding CS 1.3. But I won’t spoil much, yet you have the idea :stuck_out_tongue: !
  • Other than that, we will have to find dedicated members of our community that will help with regular community events that are NOT CS. But more about that later.

Take care, and see you in 2026 o/

By the way, 1024x768 was yet another Proem reference: ---=ï¦|//=my new years resolution is 1024x768=\\|¦ï=--- :stuck_out_tongue:

Do the OSP servers never change maps on their own? No big deal, just got me wondering.

They usually fall into their “sudden death!” behaviour, which is something that seems normal. I might be wrong, I’ll still investigate a bit with its documentation…

Anyway, there’s the \callvote map command that helps with switching the map, but the maplist does not feel complete at all, which is a bit of a shame, ngl…
